Getting back into learning art quilting

March 29th through the 31st I'll be teaching my workshop Photos to Quilts, Landscape Version, at Rosie's, a fabulous place to buy the most luscious fabrics. What could be better than a few days in San Diego with quilters? I learn as much as I teach.
This is the reset for me of teaching after a diversion into music. As a true creative, my creative juices flow in many directions and one of those is music. The last couple of years I have taken voice lessons and wow, was that fun! I picked up singing again and have been warbling my little vocal chords off and loving it. I also am a writer and just recently have combined these pursuits into a presentation of my quilt Marie, an art quilt depicting my mother, a poem I wrote about her and the song "Coat of Many Colors".
There's just something necessary about expressing emotions, sentiment, thoughts and I am finding the combination of these talents or pursuits thereof really satisfying. My new love Dave is a large part of my enjoyment of all of it as he joins me in singing, banjo playing, guitar accompaniment, and Dobro, and pretty much any instrument he picks up or puts his hand to. We are having a wonderful life, one day at a time.
Hope to see you soon!
Love to all, LeAnn
