Photos 2 Quilts
Photos 2 Quilts is a 3 day intensive workshop in which we work with each student's photo to create a very personal interpretation of that photo. We are not directly reproducing the image but using an impressionist approach to create the feel, the spirit, of the student's experience.
Collage Quilts
In this workshop you will work with a Laura Heine pattern of your choice to create your own version of her wall hanging. Your choices of fabric will make it your own expression. Once you have mastered the basic techniques through using a pattern, you may wish to create your own. If you have already done at least one of her patterns, contact LeAnn and she will work with you to create a collage creation from your own photograph or image if possible. All it takes is simplifying the image, which is the key to Laura's patterns. Go with what she has designed or design your own and either way will be very creative.
