Born and raised in Nebraska, I have a heritage of hard working farm women who were sewers. After many years in Southern California, operating my own business and raising my son, I moved to Arizona and flourished with more advanced quilting and teaching. In 2015 my journey into art quilting began and I haven’t looked back.
Using fabric as my primary medium, and my camera as my artist’s eye, I capture moments in time and place. As I teach students, I can develop a lovely photograph into its interpretation in fabric. It then becomes a more personal, expressive and satisfying work because it has introduced the tactile and the third dimension – a combination of painting and sculpture. READ MORE >>
